Zoe's party

Well I've just had a text from Zoe, who was the hostess for a 'canvas kit party' last night, it reads " Morning, many thanks for last night - I had a ball!" Yes it was a great night, thank you to Zoe, Darren and gorgeous little Maddie for inviting me into their wonderful 'disneyfied', funky home, and supplying us with lots of lovely food! As you can see from the pictures Zoe and her friends took the kit to another level!
Maddie was very clever at picking out her moms ticket to win the raffle prize and Vickie was very quick to use the fibres and flowers that came in the raffle prize on her canvas.
The picture on Zoe's canvas was taken 5 minutes before, and printed out on my portable printer, the winning ticket is on there for prosperity!!
Wonderful night, very chilled and Zoe got enough commission from the party sales to order the canvas kit (previous post) for nothing!!

Canvas Kits

This is a photo of my lovely canvas kit from s.e.i that I have just made up! Isn't it just sooo cute? It comes as a complete kit so all you need is the adhesive and the photos, and really takes no time at all, if you would like to get your hands on one, in pink or blue then email me and I'll put an order in for you!

They cost £14-25.

Solihull crop

I went to fantastic new crop in Solihull today! It is run by Morag, Nicki and Audrey. Nicki did a lovely class using Fancy Pants papers and die cuts, not that I actually did any scrappin'. I was much too busy chatting to all the ladies and having a good old nose!!! My friend Tessa came with me (She got lots done) and one of oldest and bestest friends came to visit me as we were in Cheswick Green Village hall, which is apprx 5 mins walk away from her house! Morag, Nicki and Audrey are all very talented scrapbookers , check out their website for details of the crop www.WhatHousework.co.uk. Morags blog is also listed on my fave blogs. Check it out!! (Scrapbook-Junkie)

Craft Fair

I had a stall at Hill Avenue School's craft fair on Friday and met some lovely ladies. People were very interested to find out more about Scrapbooking and 3 ladies booked parties for themselves!
A big thankyou to my daughter Frankie for helping me out with everything, I couldn't have done it without her!!

Consultants Away day!!

Well what a wonderful weekend we have just had! I managed to farm out my family for the weekend in order to accomodate my lovely crafting friends; Hannah; consultant for Dudley, Steph; consultant for Derby and Rosie consultant for Northhants. My hubby went away to France on a golfing trip, Jamie went to stay at his friends and Frankie and Izzie went to nannies!! I must say a big thank you to all my family for giving up their beds for the night, everyone really appreciated the fact that we could have some real girlie chill out for a whole weekend!!!

Me Steph and Rosie spent the day at my crop in Penkridge, where it was that full I had to take my very unstable decoraters table, any one who was on the Penkridge retreat will remember my table!!! It was a lovely day, Donna showed us how to alter old books and use beeswax for embellishment, pretty fantastic! I didn't actually get any scrappin' done 'cause I was too busy nattering, it's just not like me?! Ha Ha

Then when we got home Hannah joined us after doing a Craft-Ed party in the afternoon, so we all went down the pub and had a jolly old time, we then got back to mine and changed into our PJ's to chill out and craft!! It was such a good night, drinking wine( Hannah!!!!!) eating toast when we got the midnight munchies, listening (and singing to) Robbie and his Swing album, laughing out load to Rosie's dirty jokes and generally having some girlie time!! We finally got to bed just after 2am!

It was such fun having friends round to stay I'm sure it's going to be a regular event!!

Canvas Kit Party

Well we had a lovely evening at Julie's where she chose to do the Canvas kit 'make and take' These are photos of Tracey who is holding her own party in May and Mrs Billingham's canvas which I think turned out fantastically.

Because the kit is so easy and quick to do, everyone also had the chance to make a scrapbook page using my stash. Tracey even played with the Sizzix sidekick and die cut some shapes for her page! This was a first for her as she had never used one before!

Julie was a wonderful host and we were supplied with non- alcoholic wine, tea and scrummy cake! In fact she enjoyed the evening so much she is doing it all over again in June.

Pampered

Well if you have read some of my previous posts you will have come realise I'm a girl who lives the high life. Today I have been totally pampered and had a beautiful manicure and my nails painted.................................... Yes, I know it's not the most perfect flawless finish in the world, but my manicurist is only 3 years old, and I think she did a marvelous job! Especially as she didn't get any on the carpet, the sofa or our clothes. Well done Izzie and does anyone have any nail polish remover?

Mini Albums

This is one of our lovely mini album kits, that one of my customers has just ordered. In this range we also have;

Winnie The Pooh
Mickey Mouse
Cinderella

They are only £5-95, so yes, being a Disney Freak,I have had to order one for myself!!

Maisy

This is my Maisy, we had lots of lovely snow on Sunday morning and Izzie, Maisy, Milo(my other Mutt) & me all went out to play in it. She is such a daft dog and loves us to make snowballs and throw these for her to catch. She does catch most of them, and the snow always explodes in her face! We rescued Maisy from the Birmingham Dogs Home and she is just one big ball of stupid fluff, and we love her to pieces.

Another free hostess gift

This is the free hostess gift another of my ladies has received for hosting a party, isn't it cute? It is the Amy Butler Desk Frame kit, which comes with everything you need to make a wonderful mini frame. However, it doesn't have sit on your desk, it could take pride of place anywhere in your home.

My monster!

Do you like my monster? I was looking
after my friend Tessa's little girls and me and
Vivien were making play dough
monsters - her idea! I think he looks
quite cute, not at all scary.

Childrens parties

I have been asked if I do children's parties, ie make scrapbooks and papercrafts with them, well the answer to this is ............yes I do. The standard scrapbook kits for children are purchased at £7-50 per head ( I will do this for you) and then you pay me a one off fee for running the craft event for you. The parties are aimed at children between 8 and 12 yrs, and I am also available for workshops for youth groups of any kind, ie Brownies, Guides, etc. If you would like more details then email me on julie.mitchell@craft-ed.net.

New shoes!!

Me, Lee & Izzie went shopping today in Birmingham and bought Izzie lots of yummy new clothes, including these gorgeous shoes from Selfridges............Just couldn't help ourselves. We have also ordered some Lelli Kellies!!!OOps

I Know How To Have Fun!!!!

I know how to have fun I do, it's a friday night in, being the local taxi service for two teenagers who go to youth groups and Sea Cadets and a husband who goes to the pub. A bottle of Shloer and a packet of wine gums, I really know how to push the boat out!!!!!

Family Life

These were the books and magazines that I was tidying up on my coffee table today. Lee commented last night how wonderful it was that we had such a diverse selection of reading matter for our three wonderful children: 'Who's making that mess ?' storybook; Pegasus magazine for the Parachute Regiment'; Oxford & Cambridge uni prospectus's. We could never have imagined that at this stage in our lives we would have a 3yr old to read funny stories to, that our 14 yr old son would be so fanatical about the military and wanting to pursue this as a career, and our 17 yr old daughter would be looking at prospectus' for Oxford and Cambridge. It is all a little surreal at times!!

Diane's free gift!

The photo below is of the free scrapbooking gift that Diane received just for hosting a party in her own home! She also was able to spend £15-00 on more stash from our extensive catalogue, which of course she did. This was because her party guests ordered products from me on the night which totalled over £100-00. Above is a piccie of Diane at her party in full scrappin' swing, just starting to tear her gorgeous Jolie Chocolat paper. The LO (layout) was produced on the night, it is one of the girls Grandmother's, just lovely!!

Craft-Ed Party for Diane

This is a photo of one of my Craft-Ed parties. This was such a fun evening, all the ladies loved the free 'Make and Take' from the Jolie Chocolat range by s.e.i. My host was Diane who made everyone feel very welcome in her home, she provided us with tea and coffee and yummy biscuits and cakes. She also went far beyond her expected role of hostess by making up a little bag of goodies from her own stash for everyone to take home with them. How thoughtful was that! So not only did her guests all go home with a new scrapbook page for their album made with free Craft-Ed products they also had free products from Diane.

Diane, herself, had a very successful evening and was given £15-00 to spend on new stash from our catalogue. Well done Diane!! Have a look at the next post to see what other goodies Diane got for free..................

Snow

My hubby was very pleased to see a white covering over the ground this Easter Sunday, because it meant that he didn't have to get up and go and play golf!! He is very strange, as most
men I know can't wait to get away from theirwives and get on the golf course. He ,obviously, cannot bear to be without me. Well I totally understand that, Who wouldn't!! Ha Ha

I'm a lucky little Chick!!!

Look what I got for Easter!! My wonderful hubby knew that he had got to get me another gigantic egg this year as last year he bought me my first enormous egg.
It is made from the most gorgeous thick belgian chocolate and I don't think it is going to last very long!!!

Hail !!!!

Oh my god!! we had the most enormous hail storm this afternoon, Izzie and I stood at the window watching it for ages, she asked if we could go and stand in it, but it would have really hurt. So I braved the elements and stuck my arm out of the window with Izzie's dolls bath to catch the hail stones for us to have a play with. They were enormous!!

Good Friday!!!!

My boy is leaving us for a week!! My 14 yr old belongs to the Sea Cadets and is going down south today to board T.S.John Jerwood. They are supposed to be sailing around the British Isles and down to Jersey and France, but the weather is not being kind to us at the moment, strong winds, risk of snow etc, so I don't know how far he will get to travel. He is really enthusiastic about this trip as he will be doing real naval duties. Have a brillant time, son!!!

Penkridge Crop

I went to see my wonderful friends in Penkridge on the 20th March. I go to a monthly saturday and Thursday night crop and just love it! It was great to see them again, as I haven't managed to get to a crop since the retreat. Unfortunately, there were not that many people there but I still had a good chilled out evening. Can't wait till the 12th April, when I can crop all day and see everyone again.

Sugar & Spice that's what little girls are made of!

I had yet another proud lump in the throught 'mommy' moment last week, I went to watch Izzie at her ballet class and she was just fab, she had to do 'crocodile feet' and use her imagination to perform lots of different dances. Her ballet teacher said she is doing brilliantly, performing at the level of a 5 yr old! Isn't that just so fantastic, she is only 3!!!
I am a consultant for Craft-Ed, visit www.craft-ed.net for details of all the wonderful products and projects available directly from me.
